Previously served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Assistant Foreign Minister for International Cooperation Affairs, Secretary of the Personal Representative of His Highness the Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, for Follow-up Affairs. Former: Chairman of the Qatar Investment Authority's Board of Director, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, Qatar Mining Company; Chairman of the Executive Committee on the Development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises; Chairman of the Board of Directors, Aspire – Katara Investment Company. 2009, Director, Department for Public-Private Partnerships, Ministry of Business and Trade, and launched Enterprise Qatar, an organization providing technical and financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises. 2005-09, Director, Economic Affairs, Supreme Council of Family Affairs. 2003, degree in Economics and Business Administration, Qatar University.
