Dr. Nisha Taneja, Professor at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), New Delhi, a leading think tank in India engaged in policy-oriented research.

Currently member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Trade and Investment 2023-2024. Earlier term at World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Trade and Investment – 2020-2022 focusing on trade and gender.

Focus of research at ICRIER on India’s international economic policy and guiding reforms in trade, trade facilitation, transport, and logistics.

Extensive experience on regional trade in South Asia and East Asia on issues related to tariffs, sensitive lists, services, investment, non-tariff measures, and trade and transport facilitation.

Leading the Trade and Gender Program at ICRIER. Several ongoing and completed projects on trade and gender supported by DFAT, The Asia Foundation, ADBI, Land Port Authority of India and UPS.

International Consultant with the World Bank and Asian Development Bank and Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.

Served on various committees set up by the Government of India, and appointed advisor to the Government of Nepal on transshipment.

Published several research papers and books which have been disseminated in India and abroad at various policy, business and academic forums.
