H.E. Mrs. Razan Al Mubarak is Secretary General of the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD) the agency responsible for environmental regulation, conservation and the promotion of sustainable development in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Razan serves as a board member of many of Abu Dhabi’s interconnected environmental influencers and stakeholders, including: the Environment Infrastructure Committee to the General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Urban Planning Council, Abu Dhabi Sustainability Group, Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation, Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, The Emirates Diplomatic Academy, The Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy initiative (WiSER). Moreover, Razan founded the Emirates Wildlife Society in association with WWF (EWS WWF) in 2001 and is currently the Managing Director. She is also the Managing Director of the Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund – one of the world’s largest foundations supporting species conservation in over 200 countries. Razan holds an MSc in Public Understanding of Environmental Change from the University College London, UK and a BA (hons) in Environmental Studies and International Relations from Tufts University, Massachusetts, USA.
