Richard has over 20 years’ experience advising private and public sector clients on the structuring, procurement and financing of major infrastructure projects, specifically with regards to optimal governance and policy mechanisms, financial models, innovations and technologies and societal engagement mechanisms required to enable cities to reach their full potential.
He has a track record in building and motivating highly committed and capable teams to deliver complex projects with exceptional service to clients with a deep understanding of financial markets and experience of raising both bank debt and capital markets funding. His long-standing reputation has been proven for leading organisations and Governments through complex, high-value, and politically high-profile transactions and providing strategic, financial and governance advice in relation to the delivery of major project. He has a thorough understanding and is able to advise on political as well as financial and economic aspects of project delivery.
Richard has an extensive and influential network built over many years across the infrastructure, construction, transport and utilities markets and the related political, financial and legal communities, in the UK and internationally. Before joining KPMG his distinguished and unique career included:
