Senator in the Australian Parliament with a background in environmental and human rights activism. With over 15 years in Parliament, Sarah has become one of the country's leading voices on women in politics, environmental protection, climate change and human rights policy. Youngest woman ever elected to the Australian Parliament. First elected in 2007 and successfully re-elected 3 times. Australian Greens Party spokesperson for the Environment, Communications & Arts policy. Representing the state of South Australia, Sarah is a strong advocate for a fast and efficient transition to renewable energy, decarbonisation and protecting biodiversity; with a proven record of working across different groups and sectors to create a progressive, safe and sustainable global community and planet. Sarah has a strong interest in media and communications policy and has headed the push in Australia for a Royal Commission into media diversity.
