Sofana Dahlan is a Saudi lawyer, arbitrator, and social entrepreneur, recognised as the first female lawyer licensed to practice law in Saudi Arabia. With legal consultancy experience spanning Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Kuwait, she specialises in corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, arbitration, mediation, and mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on the creative industries.

She currently serves as the first female member of the Fee Assessment Committee at the Saudi Bar Association and was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of Al Ittihad Club NPO. Her public sector contributions include serving as Vice Governor for Entrepreneurship Advancement at Monsha’at (SMEA), making her the first Saudi female senior economic policymaker.

In the private sector, Dahlan has founded and led initiatives at the intersection of law, technology, and entrepreneurship. She is the founder of Mustanad, an AI-powered digital marketplace for Arabic legal documents, and Legal Digital Solutions (LDS), a pioneering company delivering digital legal platforms for individuals, entrepreneurs, and SMEs. She also established Tashkeil, Kayanspace, and the Saudi National Creative Initiative (SNCI) to nurture the region’s creative economy.

Recognised internationally for her leadership, Dahlan was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2015 and a Misk 2030 Leader in 2024. She holds an LLB (Hons) from Cairo University, a Master’s in Shariah from the Centre of Islamic & Legal Studies in Egypt, and an MBA from the American University of Technology. She has also completed executive programs at Harvard University, Oxford University, and Apolitical Academy, focusing on global leadership, negotiation, and public policy.
