William Smith-Stubbs

William is a behavioural strategist, mental health advocate, and co-founder of venture studio Mettlesome, mental health non-profit the Museum of Sticks & Stones, and technology platform Dala Health.

Childhood experiences with mental illness led William to develop a passion for mental health, a fascination for human behaviour and a deep interest in effective tools to improve societies and lives of individuals.

Since 2011, spur: has reached 40 million people worldwide in over 105 countries.

Originally from Brisbane, Australia, William has regularly worked with and spoken for organisations around the world including the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, Google, and World Wildlife Fund, among others.

William is a World Economic Forum Global Shaper and Advisory Council member, Climate Reality Leader, G20 YEA Delegate, Gates Foundation Goalkeeper, UNLEASH Innovation Lab Global Talent, and Obama Foundation Asia Pacific Leader.

William has been awarded the Jude Bugeja Mental Health award, the Paul Harris Fellowship, UNLEASH Silver Award and nominated for the Australian Mental Health Prize.
