Geneva, Switzerland 15 April 2025 – The World Economic Forum announces today the Young Global Leaders (YGL) Class of 2025, a cohort of 116 remarkable individuals who are shaping industries and driving progress worldwide. This diverse group brings together leaders from government, business, civil society, academia, media and the arts, united by a shared commitment to creating lasting, positive impact in their fields, communities and beyond.
For over two decades, the YGL community has empowered young leaders who are committed to improving the state of the world. This growing global network has consistently demonstrated the power of collective action and innovation, with members pioneering transformative change through AI and break-through technologies, new leadership approaches and innovation.
“As these exceptional leaders continue to push boundaries and shape the future of their fields, they will inspire others to embrace change and accelerate progress,” said Nicole Schwab, Chair of the Board of the Forum of Young Global Leaders Foundation.
“To tackle the world’s pressing issues, a new leadership is required. The Class of 2025 exemplifies the future of leadership, innovation and collaboration that is at the heart of the Young Global Leaders community,” said Ida Jeng Christensen, Head of the Forum of Young Global Leaders.
Since its inception in 2004, the Forum of Young Global Leaders has grown into a dynamic network of over 1,400 members and alumni from over 120 countries. This network’s forward-thinking leadership is essential for creating meaningful and lasting change.
Through a comprehensive three-year leadership development programme, the Class of 2025 will take part in executive education at leading universities and be equipped with insights, facts and a network to navigate an increasingly changing world. They will also be invited to collaborate on public-private initiatives with like-minded peers to accelerate their projects and jointly advance practical solutions to some of the world’s most urgent challenges.
The YGL community embodies this kind of leadership, with its members making transformative contributions in a range of fields, including AI, urban innovation and biomedicine, as well as through groundbreaking initiatives in public health and economic development and pioneering work in technology and sustainability
