Digital Arab World

Focusing on the intersection of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and entrepreneurship, the Digital Arab World Initiative will offer a platform for the activities of the Regional Business Council for the Middle East and North Africa (RBC), together with key public figures, top Arab start-ups, civil society, GFC members, and business leaders to shape the regional digital agenda. Anchored in the Forum’s global work on Shaping the Future of the Digital Economy and Society System Initiative, the Digital Arab World will take a regional lens to help the Middle East and North Africa tackle the biggest barriers to growth and unlock the opportunities enabled by digitization, emerging technologies, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The project will have two key goals:

  1. Research and develop a first of its kind play book for governments on promoting digital innovation in the Arab World, including developing a robust entrepreneurship ecosystem.

  2. Run the Digital Innovation Dialogue Series, is a series of high level roundtables with key stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem across the MENA region
