Global Architectures for Cybersecurity and Digital Trust

Context: Numerous initiatives and processes around the world – multilateral, government and private sector-led – strive to address cybersecurity challenges internationally. These efforts often have a siloed approach that results in an overall fragmented landscape with high potential for gaps and inefficiencies. Such efforts and trends could inform a more aligned global approach if understood and captured within a systematic framework.

Opportunity: Contextualizing the trends of effort in the current global cyber initiatives landscape can offer strong insights and help increase leadership awareness over possible improvements to the overall cyber architecture, especially in areas where the global community is over or under investing.

Objective: This thought leadership initiative aims to shape the debate and enhance leadership understanding on the current fragmented global cyber landscape of existing efforts aimed at improving the state of cybersecurity at a global level.

By identifying gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement in global efforts designed to reduce the attack surface, contain cyber attacks and restrain cyber criminals, decision-makers can be better positioned to anticipate and influence the evolution of the global cyber architecture.
