Young Global Leaders: Guide to Influencing Complex Systems

This report marks the culmination of one of the main Young Global Leaders community-wide efforts of 2012, which aimed to dissect and understand the complexity of the current global context.  For a visualization of the Young Global Leaders Influencing Complex Systems initiative, see: seedvisualization.com/complex-systems/wef.The report and the broader complex systems initiative were launched with the intent of better understanding the nuances of systemic complexity and intervening in such challenges in logical, informed ways. Over the course of the past year, more than 400 Young Global Leaders contributed to the systems analysis and recommended interventions, readily adaptable by business leaders and policy makers, featured in the Guide to Influencing Complex Systems. Various case studies highlight examples of the community tackling systemic issues such as poverty, homelessness and hunger.
