These new beans are boosting health, food security and incomes in Africa

The Pan-Africa Bean Research Alliance (PABRA) breeds special new varieties. These bean varieties resist pests and diseases. Thrive in poor soils, survive droughts, contain more minerals, grow faster, sell better and even taste nicer. In 27 years, PABRA has created 650 new varieties grown by 37 million farmers across Africa.
