5 ways to cut food waste

One-third of the food produced globally is lost or thrown away every year, while more than 800 million people go hungry. Food waste also has a huge impact on the climate, accounting for 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions generated by the production, processing, distribution and decay of food that never even gets eaten.
