Africa's most populous city just opened a metro

On 4 September, Lagos unveiled the Blue Line. The light rail service links the city’s mainland, where many residents live with Lagos Island, where many businesses are based. It will begin with 12 trips a day, increasing to 76 in a few weeks. Authorities are offering a 50% discount on travel cards to encourage passengers.
