This AI-powered satellite constellation could revolutionize Earth observation

Earth observation technology already contributes $440 billion to global GDP. By 2030, this figure could reach $703 billion. Orbitworks plans to launch a 10-satellite constellation later this year. Rather than capturing images in orbit and transmitting them back to Earth for analysis, which creates a time lag, the satellites will use AI to process data directly in space. By identifying patterns and anomalies in real time, the satellites can enable immediate action, such as spraying an area of ground before, not after, a wildfire reaches it.
