This airline is using AI to cut in-flight food waste by up to 63%

KLM’s new tool predicts how many meals will be needed on board based on the fact that not everyone makes their flight. On average, 3-5% of people do not board the plane on time, says KLM. So its AI tool TRAYS takes this historical data and makes food prep forecastsfor every stage of the catering process from purchasing to loading.
