Australia will let workers ignore after-hours calls and emails

The ‘Right to Disconnect’ bill is making its way through the Australian parliament. The average Australian worker performs 5.4 hours of unpaid work a week. That adds up to more than 7 weeks every year or around US$7,200 in lost annual earnings. The proposed law has been welcomed by many Australians.
