In Bangladesh, providing glasses raised incomes by a third

A study involved 824 people from 56 villages in Bangladesh. Researchers gave half of the participants reading glasses straight away. While the other half received them after 8 months. In that time, the median monthly income among the group with glasses grew from $35 to $47, a rise of 33%. Some participants who had been unable to work started earning again.
