This ocean predator is making a comeback thanks to sustainable fishing

The Pacific bluefin tuna has bounced back to new highs with ocean observers recording the largest levels since records began. The bluefin’s recovery is a fantastic success story. Overfishing had depleted stocks of the tuna. Latest figures show that in 2022, spawning bluefin reached 23.2% of their unfished potential, smashing the target 10 years ahead of schedule.
