China has launched the world’s largest salt-light solar power station

The solar plant, in Tianjin, China, is built on a giant salt farm. It uses double-sided solar panels to absorb sunlight from above as well as sunlight reflected by the saltwater below. It has a capacity of 1GW enough to power 1.5 million homes.
