China Wants All Its Factories to Become Carbon-Neutral. Here's How

A key part of the solution is green microgrids, Self-contained systems for generating and distributing clean electricity. China’s industrial sector produces more than half the world’s supply of key goods Including steel, aluminium and cement. But the sector is a major source of CO2. It accounts for 40% of global industrial emissions. China has pledged to become carbon-neutral by 2060. To achieve this, it will have to decarbonize its factories.
