Here’s why chocolate is getting more expensive

The cost of cocoa just soared to an all-time high as hot dry weather ruins harvests in West Africa. On 12 February, cocoa was selling at ​​$6,001 a tonne. That’s 16% more than the week before. 43% more than at the start of the year and more than double its price in February last year.
