Climate change has displaced 1.2 million people in Latin America and the Caribbean

Brazil is the worst hit by climate migration with half a million people displaced internally by climate-related disasters. A new report looked at the climate impacts and efforts in 33 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Environmental Impunity Index was put together by Mexico’s University of the Americas Puebla (UDLAP). These figures are ‘very scary’, say the authors.
