High Cost Of Living Made Half Of US Adults Live With Their Parents

51% of millennials who recently moved back home say their chief reason was to save money amid the high cost of living. 39% point to spiralling rental prices. 4 in 10 say their parents charge them rent, but half are charged less than $500 a month, a quarter of the US monthly median rent. Other research has shown that the cost of living crisis could be delaying life stages. In the UK, 29% of young people say they’ve cancelled or postponed plans to move out of their homes.
