COVID-19 Is Officially No Longer a Global Health Emergency. Here’s What the Pandemic Taught Us

The WHO has declared that COVID-19 is no longer a ‘public health emergency of international concern’. This doesn’t mean the virus has gone away. Instead, it means we’re leaving the state of emergency that was declared on 30 January 2020 and instead, entering a phase of longer-term disease management. So what have we learned from the past 3 years?
