These data paintings are preserving the culture of the Amazon’s Indigenous people

This AI-powered merging of data and art has generated 1,000 images. The Winds of Yawanawa is for sale as NFTs with proceeds going towards Yawanawa community projects such as a museum and school. They were co-created by Turkish AI artist Refik Anadol and the Yawanawa people of Brazil. The project began with ‘kênés’, Graphical representations of Yawanawa culture. Anadol used these images to train an AI model.
