Hosana Silva grew up on the outskirts of Recife, Brazil. A coastal city where 850,000 people live in favelas. These neighbourhoods often lack proper infrastructure and services, exposing residents to flooding, malnutrition and poverty. For them, climate change and its impacts have already arrived.
