Victoria Kisyombe knows about the financial challenges facing Tanzanian women because she’s faced them herself. She had 3 young children when her husband passed away. Victoria wanted to boost her earnings from her job as a veterinary doctor. But as a woman, she had few options. In Tanzania, land and property pass down the male line meaning that women often have no collateral to borrow against.
