This factory in Chicago has been producing condiments, such as mayo, for 100 years

Chicago’s Kilbourn facility is the largest Unilever condiments factory in the world and today, more than 200 people operate the lines 6 days a week. But 3 years ago, Kilbourn had reached a crisis point. A cost-first mentality had created a lack of worker engagement, high staff turnover and a high number of vacancies. To fix it, Kilbourn worked alongside its labour union to help staff develop their digital skills.
