Global warming has exceeded 1.5C across an entire year
The average global air temperature from Feb 2023 to Jan 2024 was 1.52°C warmer than the pre-industrial average. Making it the hottest 12-month period ever recorded and 0.64°C hotter than the 1991-2020 average.
