Google is launching a new transatlantic cable beneath the ocean

It will make streaming more reliable and boost Google’s cloud-based services. The cable is called Nuvem which is the Portuguese word for cloud. It will go into operation in 2026. Google has invested in more than a dozen sub-sea cables already, including 2 that run across the Atlantic.
