Halfgrid uses a network of cables with person-sized pods suspended above the city's streets. Its creator, Bulgarian design studio Half Company says it could ease traffic congestion in cities. An AI system schedules the trip and identifies the best route. In Halfgrid’s system the pods move rather than the cables, which means that the pods can follow any route.
