India is bringing electric buses to nearly 170 cities

It’s aiming for a national fleet of 50,000 electric buses and has just announced a scheme to deploy 10,000 over the next decade, in 169 cities across the country. The $7 billion plan also includes charging ports and infrastructure. India wants to promote low-carbon transport and promote industrial opportunities for building electric vehicles.
