Jakarta's new 'sky train' could help the city breathe easier

The new elevated rail line aims to reduce air pollution and tackle traffic congestion. The 41.2km line connects central Jakarta with 3 satellite cities, Bogor, Depak and Bekasi. Jakarta is one of the world’s worst cities for air pollution ,with levels 7.6 times greater than WHO air quality guidelines . Air pollution is one of the greatest risks to human health.
