Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina are now major players in wind power

The International Energy Agency has released its first deep dive on the region. It says that Latin America and the Caribbean could play an ‘outsized’ role in the energy transition. 60% of the area’s electricity comes from renewables, double the global average. And the region is making great strides in biofuels and green hydrogen.
