The map spans through surface temperatures accelerating from cool blue in the pre-industrial era, to warmer yellows and hotter reds in the 21st century. Another time-lapse shows CO2 concentrations rising steadily. While a third shows the rapid decline of the Greenland Ice Sheet in the past 2 decades due to surface melt and the calving of icebergs.
