Norway just opened Europe's longest cycle tunnel

The Fyllingsdalstunnelen is 2.8km long. It cuts through a mountain 6km south of the city of Bergen. The tunnel takes 10 minutes to cycle through or 30-45 minutes to walk. It’s part of Bergen’s efforts to nudge people into choosing cycling or walking over driving. It’s hoped the tunnel will help ease traffic around the city as well as cut Bergen’s CO2 emissions and air pollution.
