Playground - Future Readiness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises - English

Small and medium-sized enterprise (SMEs) represent around 90% of all businesses globally, make up roughly 70% of employment and, by some estimates, contribute to up to 90% of global GDP. These businesses play significant roles in the global economy and labour markets, as well as in enabling, constraining and shaping the nature of innovation within those markets. Given their importance in the economy, how can SMEs drive widespread positive social, environmental and economic change? This session will launch the World Economic Forum's report on the future-readiness of small and medium-sized enterprises, developed in collaboration with Entrepreneurs’ Organization, Cambridge University and the National University of Singapore.
