More than two-thirds of the world’s population uses the internet and almost 60% use social media. As you browse and scroll your feeds, you could be leaving behind a trail of valuable information. Meredith Whittaker, Signal Foundation, was speaking at the Annual Meeting on Cybersecurity in November 2024, months before the ‘Signalgate’ controversy, in which a US government official using the app accidentally shared plans for a military attack with a journalist.
