A robot conductor has made its debut in Dresden

The 3-armed robot performed in a concert in Germany, leading the specially written Semiconductor’s Masterpiece. The piece features 3 wildly diverging time signatures. The orchestra’s artistic director says the robot is not intended to replace humans but to perform complex music too difficult for a person to conduct.
