Scientists have found a sustainable way to make shampoo from kale

Kale isn’t just healthy to eat. It contains phytochemicals, botanical compounds that are good for your skin which are used in products such as shampoo, moisturizer and soap. The phytochemicals are extracted from kale leaves discarded by farmers at harvest. Usually, extraction requires high temperatures and lots of energy. Now scientists at NTU Singapore have found a more sustainable extraction method.
