These small islands just secured a massive win on ocean protection

The UN’s maritime law court has made a historic decision. It declared that human-generated greenhouse gas emissions should count as ‘marine pollution’ because of the damage they cause to sea life. The ruling was sought by a group of 9 island states including Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, and Tuvalu
