This tech tool is saving mothers' lives in Tanzania

Maternal and newborn mortality in Tanzania remains high. Every day in 2020, 800 women died from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth, that’s one woman dying every two minutes. A key cause is delays in accessing critical care. In a pilot, m-mama reduced maternal deaths by 38% at a cost of just $2,000 per life saved.
