These houses heat and cool themselves as efficiently as possible

They’re known as ‘passive houses' which is an ultra-low energy building standard. They use sources of energy inside the building such as the owners’ body heat and solar energy which enters through the windows. Passive houses may be oriented to maximize solar gain and feature glass walls. Made with triple-glazed glass.
