The new grids will serve 300,000 homes and small businesses, connecting them to a reliable electricity source for the first time. Mini grids are small, self-contained electricity distribution systems. They generate electricity, typically from renewable sources then store and distribute it to local homes and businesses. Providing clean, affordable and reliable power for rural communities.
