This company is using drones to harvest trees from the air

AirForestry drones swoop through Sweden’s pine forests. They deposit a special harvesting tool which hugs the tree from the top and zips down it, removing all the branches in seconds. The branches and needles drop to the ground, where they nourish the soil. The tool then cuts and secures the trunk so the drone can carry it to the nearest road for processing. AirForestry operators pilot the machines remotely. The system is a lot safer than conventional tree work which kills about 220 people each year in the US alone.
