This Pacific Islands Start-Up Turns Plastic Waste Into Energy

Most Pacific Islands are heavily dependent on imported petroleum which costs up to 15% of GDP. Meanwhile, access to clean cooking fuels is among the lowest in the world. At the same time, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a gigantic collection of floating trash has grown to 1.5 million km2.
