This smartwatch warns outdoor workers of impending heatstroke
It measures how much its wearer is sweating and triggers a warning when it’s time to rest and hydrate. The device was designed by Nagano tech firm Skinos, to protect outdoor workers in Japan where deaths from heatstroke are on the rise.
