Twelve rainforest nations are asking rich countries for more money to preserve nature

12 nations from South America, Africa and South-East Asia have formed a pact to request that rich countries pay their fair share to protect rainforests. Along with the people who live in and steward them. In a joint statement, the countries called for new financing mechanisms so that the world can pay for the services the forests provide
