This is the UAE's first large-scale wind farm

It uses a special new type of turbine which captures wind at low speeds. Perfect for the UAE’s hot and humid weather. The project stretches over 4 locations including 2 islands. It will feed power into the national grid, generating enough for 23,000 homes and preventing 120,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions from fossil fuels. Equivalent to taking 26,000 cars off the road.
